As the LOTTE + GÜLERMAK + EEI Joint Venture (LGE JV), we are excited and proud to commence the South Commuter Railway Depot Project Package No. CP S-07 to be constructed in Calamba City, Philippines. The groundbreaking ceremony for the DEPOT Package No. CP-07 was held on Thursday, June 13th at the Depot construction site with the participation of the Secretary of Transportation, the Undersecretary of Transportation, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Manila, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Manila, ADB Bank Country Director, the Secretary of the Embassy of Japan, and the Mayor of Calamba, the DOTr(employer) team, the GCT team(engineer), the LGE JV team, and representatives of subcontractors. The groundbreaking event, which garnered significant media attention, provided detailed information about the project's objectives and scope. The Depot will be located to the east of Banlic station. The spur line to the depot will be from the north of Calamba station. The Depot Package will have civil architectural (including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) works, covering an overall area of approximately 23 ha (including the access track, access road, and an underpass). Buildings include the Operation Control Centre, Stabling Yard, Maintenance Shops, and other ancillary buildings. The embankment in the amount of 1 million m3, the bored piles in the number of 2.200nos, 4,4km of Retaining and GRS walls, 4km of PCC roads, 0.4km of access track, 0.5km of access roads on the embankment to the south depot entrance, and a 0.3km long underpass traversing the depot access road is also included in this package.
